Maricopa Arizona Homes – Weekly Market Report 28MAR
I’m knocking this out a little early as I don’t expect any of the numbers to change this late in the evening. I’ll keep my comments to a minimum this time as the trending since the first of the year cintinues. You can read my last report if you want to view more details.
ACTIVE LISTINGS: 467, down from 509. Incredible! It’s getting tough to find homes as even two level homes are getting scarce.
SHORT SALES: 186, down from 202
LENDER OWNED: 81, down from 86
AWC (short sales with offers): 231, up from 226
PENDING: 358, down from 371. This will be one to watch as I haven’t seen a number this low for a month. It could be a sign that seasonal buyers are beginning to leave the area but, since Patti and I are still getting as many inquiries as ever, it might just be a “glitch” or due to the fact that the inventory has been picked over.
CLOSED: 69, up from 59. There have not been this many closing since the last week of April 2010. There have already been 229 closings this month and, with four more days to go in the month, this could be the highest total in over a year.
AUCTION: 22. Back to normal in this area but a lot of quality homes were available at reasonable opening bids.
