As I am signing off for the night, I can’t help but reflect on what an absolutely crazy business I am in. I ahve about 40 short sale listings in Maricopa Arizona and it has been almost impossible to get any offers on them. There are so many foreclosures available that agents and buyers do not want to “wait it out” for a short sale to get approved. I had accepted the fact that I would lose many of them to the dreaded “sale date” and did my best to prepare my clients for what seememd like the inevitable. I had almost forgotten what an email with an offer attached looked like.

Then, all of a sudden in the last three days, my quiet little world exploded! Not only did I receive offers on four of my short sales but I had to go to highest and best (which I NEVER do) on two of them. My phone is still ringing as I could not place them AWC fast enough! To top it off, I picked up six buyers leads on top of it. Who says flyers are a waste of time!! I even had one person pull up to my home and knock on the door at 7:30AM (luckily I was hard at work in my den) because he saw my car (magnets work too!) and wanted to know if I was an agent and could I find him a home. Cash buyer none the less.

Yep, it’s a crazy business but that’s why I love it!
